For as long as I can remember I have been painting bright colors on canvases, re-purposing my clothing, and monogramming or bedazzling anything I could find. From the tape dispensers I used while working at Pucci to Louboutins for my wedding, I personalized it all.

When the opportunity (and push from my family) to create an e-commerce site of my own presented itself, I jumped in and started MariellaVilar.com. Painting is my thing and standing behind a product that I love is what I do. This website and business is run by me, myself and I. It is often a challenge, but one I enjoy tackling.

The heart of this site is the Personalized Basket. Being born and raised in South Florida and vacationing in the Caribbean, the "French Basket" is not a rare bag to have or see. They literally are everywhere these days. Shortly after free-lancing I realized there was a greater demand in the states for hand-painted straw and canvas items at a reasonable price point, their gifting potential and usefulness. I knew I could use my love for painting to bring some fun, classic and great priced items to the grand e-commerce and wedding worlds.  I believe in affordable gift options for all price points and strive to keep my prices competitive and accessible.

As of 2020 I started slimming down my product offerings and focusing on staples that are meant to last for years. I never want this to feel like fast fashion and want you to feel confident in your MV purchase.
